Funky Fingerpainting

From the children:
Today we learned about colours. Mrs Gately showed us some things and we told her what the colours are. Some of the things we looked at were red apples, green peas, and yellow bananas. Mrs Gately had big bottles of paint - all different colours. We dropped big splodges of paint onto paper and named things that we know are these colours (e.g. bananas and tennis balls are yellow).  We painted with our fingers. It felt wet and cold and gooey. Our hands were very colourful. We played "I Spy something that is coloured _______". Then we took turns choosing a colour and asking a friend to find something that colour. We voted for our favourite colour  - it was BLUE!
